Kids Heart Challenge

February 06, 2020

On Monday February 3rd, Beth Hansen from the American Heart Association visited South Page to kick off the Kids Heart Challenge. She helped to educate K-6 grade students on the importance of healthy hearts. She also helped to kick off the Kids Heart Challenge. This Challenge allows students in grades K-8 to help raise money for the American Heart Association. In Physical Education classes students will be doing activities to learn about hearts and ways to keep your heart healthy. As a thank you the students receive thank you gifts and the top fundraisers get to receive extra rewards like being their P.E. Teacher for the class!

Packets went home on Monday February 3rd and are due back February 28th.

Beth Hansen also gave a Vaping Assembly for the 7-12th graders on Monday. Topics included what's in a vape and how vaping can affect your health. Students listened to stories about other students who vaped and how it has affected their lives. Students are encouraged to say no to vaping and encourage others to say no.
